Introducing "Connect the Lines": A New Workshop Series!
By Fineline Team
We’re excited to introduce Connect the Lines, a new series of interactive workshops by the Fineline Co-op initiative designed to help artists and students elevate their creative practice. With both in-person and online sessions, this program offers practical, artist-centered learning experiences focused on real-world applications rather than academic lectures. Think of it as a space where you can engage, connect, and grow alongside fellow artists and curators in a welcoming, informal setting.
The workshops will be hosted at the new OCAD University location of Dark Horse Espresso Bar, the perfect backdrop for these approachable and intimate sessions. These events are meant to feel more like a casual gathering of creatives rather than a traditional series of lectures. Expect friendly, informal conversations and hands-on guidance from experienced artists and curators who understand the nuances of building an art practice.
Connect the Lines: Grant and Proposal Writing
The first workshop in the “Connect the Lines” series will focus on grant and proposal writing hosted by multi-disciplinary artist Sophia Bartholomew. In this workshop, learn how to create compelling open-call proposals, enticing statements, and how to manage budgets and documentation. Learn tools that will help you stand out in competitive calls and secure funding for your arts-related entrepreneurship.
