Donny Nie
Meet Donny Nie, a Chinese-Canadian interdisciplinary artist who recently joined the Fineline.art platform. She received an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and a BFA from OCAD University. Nie has exhibited her works internationally, in Canada, the United States and China. From oil painting, monotype, digital projection, ceramic and glass form, Nie’s interdisciplinary abstractions merge to create an intuitive gestalt experience. Her mediums examine proximity as a visual and metaphorical instrument, to simplify or complicate information over different course of materialities, and eventually inform each other in the same exhibition space.

Gezellig Studio - Kristy Woudstra
Meet Gezellig Studio, textiles that are handmade by Hamilton, Ontario, artist and writer Kristy Woudstra. With the intention of sustainability, Kristy produces modern and meaningful quilts and wall-hangings with all-natural fibres. Her line of stuffed animals, called the Grumpy Faces, are made with felt that is created with recycled plastic bottles. What does Gezellig (heh-sell-ick) mean? It's a Dutch word that doesn't have a direct English translation. It's more of a feeling or state of mind. Think of those special moments when you're completely present, sharing a laugh with loved ones without a care in the world. That's Gezellig — and what Kristy strives for in the process of creating textile objects for the home.

Kyla Yager
Meet Kyla Yager, a Toronto based, New Orleans bred Visual Artist with a passion for painting; portraying emotions and mindsets through her work. Struggling with ADHD and mental health, Kyla uses these as a tool to create her compositions. As her thoughts move a mile a minute, so does her paintbrush. Ultimately, Kyla hopes to inspire neurodivergent individuals to utilize their disabilities as positive and unique traits, rather than as setbacks in life. Kyla received her BFA in Visual Art from York University in 2018 and officially launched her art business, Kyla Yager Artwork, in January 2020. She has been drawing and painting since early childhood, leading to a consistent art practice for over 20 years.
